3rd - 6th BasketballYouth Recreation3rd–6th Grade Basketball — Belle Plaine Tigers (Waconia League) The 3rd–6th Grade Basketball program is a volunteer-driven initiative led by parent coaches within the Belle Plaine community. Teams compete in the Waconia League, and practices are designed to develop core basketball fundamentals, improve dribbling, defense, and shooting, and build players’ understanding of the game. The program emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive character development as players represent the Belle Plaine Tigers with pride. Volunteer coaches: The program is led by parent volunteers who plan practices, run drills, and guide athletes during league play. Drivers EducationDrivers EducationGeneral Information: Belle Plaine Community Education offers comprehensive driver's education for students aged 14 and older, covering both classroom and behind-the-wheel instruction. Our program fulfills the 30-hour classroom requirement necessary for obtaining a learner’s permit. The program fee includes both the 30-hour classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel experience. Classroom Instruction: 30 Hours Our classroom sessions combine engaging lectures, interactive class discussions, educational videos, and written exercises from the driver's manual, along with practice tests. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a blue card. Please ensure your student brings a device (ipad, chromebook, laptop) to each class session. Behind-the-Wheel (BTW): 6 Hours The Behind-the-Wheel component provides students with practical driving experience on public roads and highways, under the guidance of a skilled instructor. This course is essential for students who have obtained their learner’s permit and must be successfully completed before they can proceed to their driver's examination. Early Childhood ScreeningEarly Childhood Screening is a FREE, simple check of how your child is growing, developing and learning. State law requires children to be screened between the ages of 3 to 5 years old. The state of Minnesota requires health and developmental screening for every child before kindergarten entry into a public school. Belle Plaine Public Schools offer this service at no cost. Screening is not a substitute for health care from your family physician, dentist, or other health care providers. Early childhood screening checks: Fine and gross motor skills Vision and hearing Speech and language development Height and weight Cognitive and social development Immunizations Appointments typically take an hour. Follow these steps to make an appointment Click on the location and month you would like to schedule. Select a date and time that works with your schedule and select “Enroll Now”. Complete all requested information and select “Enroll”. The next page is the Shopping Basket. Click “Check Out for $0”. If your registration is successful, you will receive an immediate email confirmation that includes your screening date and time. Note: If you are a new user to the Arux registration system and have created a new account during the registration process, you will receive two emails. One to welcome you as a new Arux user and another to confirm your screening registration. If you do not receive a course confirmation email a few minutes after registering, your registration is not complete and your appointment is not valid.
