Tiger Chess Club is an introductory opportunity designed to gauge student interest in a school-based chess club. This “feeler” session will bring together students who are curious about chess, enjoy strategic thinking, or want to learn the game in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

The club will be led by a volunteer parent who will serve as a facilitator and coach. While this is not a competitive or advanced program, the instructor has experience working with young chess players and will guide students through basic strategies, game play, and skill development. The focus will be on learning, practicing, and enjoying the game while building confidence and sportsmanship.

The ultimate goal of Tiger Chess Club is to connect students who share an interest in chess, allow them time to play and grow together, and explore future possibilities, such as expanding the club, increasing instructional opportunities, or offering more structured play, based on student interest.
